David has one of the best sites for information about Keywords, and SEO.
Check out his Videos!
I’m interested in learning more about blogging and other forms of social oriented branding. I’ve recently read that old fashioned SEO-SEM needs to modernize itself by incorporating the newer media like facebook and myspace and blogs.
The key words are going to solve getting us to searh engine, which in turn will get us access to buyers. Without buyers, well thats the answer. Develope key words that lead you to the buyers who are looking tio buy. An example I was looking for a flower shop in the Philippines, ie flowers, shop, philippines, asia, far east, gifts, dilivery, roses, bears, chocolates and so on.
I am interested in understanding more about the importance of having a IBL profile including Digg, and other Social Media sites and the importance that they play in an overall Assessment in Quality Score.

thanks David,
We do web conversion, that is to say making websites motivate visitors better so SEO is the flip side of that coin and of course interrelated to what we do.
Best Regards,
Rankin McKay
Norman & Jackie,
Thanks for your kind words!
Bill,
Links are still the main way that search engines determine the value of web pages so it’s important not to forget about that. Social Networks are really good for associating with the right crowd and building a surge of traffic.
Bill & Stephen,
Keywords are important yes, but I alwars try to go for one or two keyword phrases per page. Aiming for more is generally less productive. http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com is a great resource.
J.S.,
Yes, quality is so much more important in link building than it used to be. If you can get 10 extremely relevant links to your site from well respected websites then that’s worth a lot more than 1000 semi-relevant links.
David
Rankin,
Conversion is going to become a lot more important in the future. It’s already imperative in certain industry segmets for Google Adwords because the cost of PPC is increasing significantly.
David
Seems SEO is what everyone wants more of according to the votes.
I have started a site feed and traffic has went from a trickle to 170 Plus a day now.
All that I thought I knew about SEO,(after 8 years on ‘net)
I have thrown out, after reading SEO ebook by Jon Leger.
thats why I voted for RSS
RSS is a powerful tool that is mostly overlooked (and I hope it stays that way as it works!)
Hi David,
What system do you recommend for obtaining page position reports based on keywords. I have been using submitnet.net, but they have changed their service and are not meeting my needs any longer. Thanks, Robbi
Hi Robbi
2 of the most popular pieces of software for what you’re looking for are WebCEO (http://www.webceo.com) and Internet Business Promoter (http://www.ibusinesspromoter.com) but that wouldn’t be my first course of action.
This kind of software can encourage you to over-optimize your site if you’re not too careful.

It should be mentioned that, although it may seem a relatively simple task to enter the world of online marketing, sound business strategies still apply. There is still an emphasis on business goals, namely CVP analysis when determining strategy and the overall effectiveness of Internet marketing campaigns.
